Hypermelanistic Blond Tiger Endler

Hypermelanistic Blond Tiger Endler

Within a drop of the Pink Blond Guppies I found a male and a female that had black bony rays in their fins. It looks like the wagtail trait we know from Platys and Swordtails. The rest of the body is plain yellow; the male expresses a green shine on his sides. This mutation is called "hypermelanism" and boosts the production of melanin and transforms the pigment shape into a star pattern and suddenly black marking become visible again - even on base colour Blonde with normally very, very small and round shaped black pigments!

The pictures look pretty average but in reality they are quite nice fish and I liked the look of them and now they are in a separat tank and we will see how the offspring will look like...
