Copper Tail is only a name fish shops will call this strain due to the look of the caudal fin. The genetic behind this strain is pretty simple: HB and Magenta combined will produce these stunning looking fish. If wanted you could throw some Platinum in as well to give the front part a nice shine and this is called a Flamenco Dancer.
The first female I got from Stu. This was crossed with a Magenta male and about 50% of the females expressed the same pattern as their mother. Short after the initial female arrived, Redwood Aquatics in Christchurch imported some fantastic looking males from Sri Lanka. Three of the males are now together with the original female and a few of her daughters. The offspring is stunning and very healthy - one of my favourites.
Added a few more pictures from another generation to the galerie.
